These are the actual steps we take to publish your completed manuscript.
You will be guided through the publishing process from start to finish by your Publishing Director who will be your main point of contact throughout this whole experience. You can’t go wrong with this publishing service! Your Publishing Director is very knowledgeable about book publishing and can answer any questions you may have during your time together.
Your manuscript will be evaluated according to your book objectives. The overall book's manuscript will receive comprehensive word-by-word mechanical editing. Your complete manuscript evaluation will also cover technical consistency, word choice, and syntax inspection. We want to be sure that your manuscript evaluation provides you with information detailing all problems or areas of concern, with expert recommendations for how to improve.
After reviewing the recommendations from our editorial team, you’ll work with your Publishing Director to decide any additional editing you want to complete before moving forward. Your complete manuscript evaluation also includes line-by-line editing which covers tone, style, voice maintenance, and flow enhancement.
They say to never judge a book by it's cover, and unfortunately everyone does! As a Publisher Elite member you can rest assure that you will have a professional and "eye-catchy" cover design that will stand out.
The cover design starts with a zoom meeting between you, the Publishing Director, and our design team to discuss the overall design of the book cover. Our design team will research the genre and then create a serious of mockup designs for the you to evaluate. These mockups are the initial concepts so that we can make sure we are moving in the right direction.
Once you and Publishing Director agrees on a cover design from the initial mockups we go to work to make the cover perfect and attractive for the right audience and genre. Once the book cover has been agreed upon, our team will then create the spine, back cover which will include all author names, and book description. 3D mockups will also be created for you to use on your socials to let your network know that you will be publishing a book and working towards being an Amazon bestselling author.
Proofreading is a necessary final step of our book editorial process. We will not publish the book without first sending it through our proofreading service.
The role here is more about Quality Assurance and making sure the entire manuscript (all contributing author chapters) is ready to go. During this process we will bring a fresh set of eyes to read the work and lookout for errors such as misspellings, grammar issues, capitalization, verb tense, and punctuation.
A very important part of your book design is to have your book professionally formatted. This will allow you to give your reader a great experience when reading your book. If your book has sections like a Forward, Preface, Dedications, Chapters, etc. it will all be custom formatted to provide a great look and experience.
During this step your Publishing Director will ask you to complete a simple interior design questionnaire. This is where you will have the opportunity to share with us all of your ideas about the style of your inside pages of the book, as well as the overall mood you're wanting the reader to experience.
Feel free to share any images for our design team to work with. Our designers will work with you to create the custom designed book that is professional and competes with other book titles in your space. We promise you will get a book that you are proud of and positions you as the go-to expert.
Your Publishing Director will speak with you to determine your retail channels and distribution strategy. Do you want to see your book on Barns & Noble, Walmart, and Books-A-Million? Or, exclusively Amazon? Are you looking to be on international platforms as well as novelty retail shops?
These are the type of questions you and your Publishing Director will work through to get your book ready for launch.
We will also handle account creations and preparation for international launch (if any). We'll even guide you on how to setup your personal Amazon Author account, plus we'll set up all necessary accounts with our distribution book partners. You retain complete ownership and Seven Moon Publishing DOES NOT take any royalties from the sale of your book.

You own the complete rights to your book and we don't take any money or percentage from the sale. When you publish with us, we'll set up all of your accounts with our partners with full ownership and account access.
You have complete ownership of your book. This means you own the copyrights, print, and reproduction rights... and you own 100% of the book royalties.
Please be advised there are some costs that you will need your attention like printing costs and Amazon fees. These fees will cut into your book profits.
If you are publishing an ebook on Amazon the fee is 30% to Amazon and you get to put the remaining 70% in your pocket. For a paperback book on Amazon, the royalty fee is 40% to Amazon and you get to keep the remaining 60% and the cost is $3 to print the book.
So, although Seven Moon Publishing doesn't take any book royalties you will need to factor in all fees associated with the publishing and printing of your book.
Your investment for the Publisher Elite service is only $14,999 one-time or 6 easy monthly payments of $2,599 per month.
We want to make our publishing services affordable for anyone wishing to participate. You'll spend more on ads and other forms of advertising and not have the same reach and impact as you would by becoming a published author.
We charge a fee for our services because we are a "hybrid" publishing house and not a "traditional" publisher. The best service for authors is a fee-based service model because it allows the author to have complete control over their book, keeping all rights and royalties.
Authors pay us to make sure we are helping them reach their goals with their books. Authors who hire us come seeking help by wanting more speaking opportunities, media attention, to grow their audience or fan base, etc. They understand that a book is the best tool to help them reach these goals.
Royalty-based models, or traditional publishing houses, don't work in this manner. This model is solely based on the sale of the book and not the author's goals. This model also doesn't allow the author to keep complete control over their book.
Seven Moon Publishing is an independent hybrid publishing house. When authors think of "traditional" publishing they may think of the BIG 5 such as:

With the traditional model, an author would need to seek a good literary agent to sell the manuscript to one of the BIG 5 publishing houses. If your manuscript gets accepted, your manuscript is published, printed, and distributed with the publisher fitting the upfront costs. This means less control, lower royalties, and minimal author goals for you as the author of the book.
Hybrid publishing companies are no different than traditional publishing houses in the sense that you (the author) will get a professionally designed and formatted book. The difference is the hybrid publisher uses a service-based model and charges an upfront investment to the author to get started. This is great for the author because of the higher royalties, more creative control over the book, and the author's goals are front and center.

Yes and No.
Yes, Seven Moon Publishing guarantees that we'll make your book title available to bookstores and retailers. We do this by including your book title in the Ingram database, which can be ordered throughout the country from every bookstore.
No, we cannot make the guarantee that any bookstore or retailer will carry your book. The reason why is that each bookstore and retailer have their own set of criteria for whether they carry a specific title in their store or website.
Truthfully, there has been consistent growth in online book sales which accounts for more than 50% of trade books sold. Having your book placed in physical bookstores and retail shops would be great, but it's not necessary for brand awareness, book positioning, and growing your expert status.
